Kempinski Hotels has partnered with Alfardan Hospitality for the second time to bring the Marsa Malaz Kempinski – The Pearl, Doha to Qatar.

The private island development spanning over 500,000 sq.ft will open in quarter four of this year and is set to “go beyond five-star luxury”.

According to a statement, the hotel concept is aimed at blending Arabian hospitality with a Venetian concept with the architecture of the external façade and the interiors set to make the hotel a “true iconic destination like no other in the region”.

Kempinski Hotels and Alfardan Hospitality previously collaborated on the development and management of Doha’s tallest hotel tower, the Kempinski Residences and Suites.

The development of Marsa Malaz Kempinski comes in line with the recently announced strategy of the Qatar Tourism Authority to position Qatar as “a world-class hub with deep cultural roots”.

This is part of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy 2011 -2016 which sets an ambitious plan for the country’s growth in the tourism sector.
