For the second year in a row, The Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort is hosting Mayfest.
The popular German tradition celebrates the arrival of spring when, in Medieval times, people would gather spring flowers to decorate their homes. They chose a King and Queen of May and villagers danced around the Maipole.
At the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort, guests are currently embarking on a culinary and cultural journey with authentic German beverages and specialities prepared by chef Stephan Kuehlwetter.
Danny Dagher, general manager, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort, said: “The first year was so successful so we decided to continue the tradition, especially when we have chef Stephan Keuhlwetter to make sure the
"Mayfest presents authentic German specialities and beverages.”
Guests will also be entertained with the tunes from a renowned traditional band, “The Austria Boys”.
Mayfest takes place daily between 7pm and midnight.
