A new Grand Hyatt hotel is set to open in the Ras Al Akhdar district of Abu Dhabi in the coming months.

An affiliate of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has been appointed by Emirates Pearl for Development & Investment LLC, a joint venture between Atlas Telecom and the Tourism Development and Investment Company, to manage the property.

Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl will be a 47-storey hotel is located on the Southwest end of the Coastal Boulevard in the Ras Al Akhdar district of central Abu Dhabi. It is located close to upscale shopping malls and tourist attractions, and is 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi International airport and less than two hours from Dubai’s international airport.

The hotel will have 368-rooms and 60 fully-furnished service apartments with four restaurants, a lounge, two bars, extensive meeting facilities and a sophisticated spa & fitness centre. The hotel has been designed by Dennis Lems Architects Associates, with interiors by MKV Design of London.

The property was originally due to open as Regent Abu Dhabi under the Rezidor Hotel Group but was cancelled by the owner – Atlas Hospitality – in 2011.
