The Capital Club Dubai has handed over its first cheque of the year to INJAZ UAE, a volunteer-based programme, which links corporate mentors to youth to advise them on work readiness, entrepreneurial, and financial literacy skills.

The funds were raised through proceeds from three of The Capital Club’s social events – the club’s anniversary celebration, the celebrity chef evening with Greg Malouf, and the guest chef dinner with Sanjeev Kapoor.

In addition to donating a portion of the profits from events, The Capital Club will also promote six awareness seminars each year with local, regional, and international corporate figures for members and their guests. INJAZ has also been granted access to the Capital Club’s facilities to host awareness sessions.

The Capital Club general manager Emma Cullen said: “As the central hub for Dubai’s business elite, we are keenly aware of the vital importance of nurturing the next generation of business leaders, and it is a privilege to be part of the growth of a bright new crop of entrepreneurs, innovators, and pioneers.”

INJAZ UAE CEO Sulaf Saleh Al-Zu’bi added: “The Capital Club’s position within Dubai’s business community has proven invaluable in helping us reach out to more corporate volunteers and in providing the professional space for our students, mentors, and business partners to meet to exchange skills and ideas. As a business education organisation, this is the perfect fit.”

Since 2005, INJAZ UAE has reached 25000 students from 43 schools and universities and connected them with more than 2000 corporate volunteers from 60 companies.
