Horeca Trade has been awarded the CSR label by Dubai Chamber for the first time for its commitment and efforts towards incorporating corporate social responsibility activities across all aspects of its business.

The award was presented by H.E Hisham Al Shirawi, second vice – chairman of the Dubai Chamber, to Horeca Trade finance director C.N Ragesh.

A Dubai Chamber representative carrited out an audit on the firm's internal policies, programmes and initiatives in several areas including employee satisfaction, customer relations, community support and social efforts, before presenting them with the award.

Horeca Trade managing director Hisham Al Jamil said: "At Horeca we are very keen in showing our sincere support to the society needs and also for the protection of environment."

He added: "The initiatives that entitled Horeca to win this certification are, but not limited to: the Happy Meal Box initiative where we prepared and distributed 1000 meals to two camps in Jebel Ali Industrial Area, in addition to the regular support to the Autism Centre and Al Noor Training Centre, and the continuous involvement of the employees in volunteering activities like Starbucks Global Community Event, Support to Dubai School for Disabled Children and many more."

The food service company supports children in need, employee welfare, sustainability and community oriented events.

The company also promotes the usage of eco-friendly products by offering customers a wide range of quality biodegradable products from the UK.
