Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed David Allan as the new general manager of Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Media City.
He has taken over from Francois Galoisy, who is moving to to Oman to lead the pre-opening team at Radisson Blu Hotel Sohar.
British national Allan has joined from Radisson Blu Glasgow, where he was general manager for the past two years. He has also previously headed up the Park Inn by Radisson Glasgow City Centre.
“A commercially focused individual Allan has a strong financial base and a proven track record in people leadership,” Carlson Rezidor said in a statement.
“He also has a sound working knowledge across all food and drink operations, something he is keen to utilise in his new role.”

Allan will be responsible for ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and he will focus particularly on the consistent operation of the hotel's rooms, restaurants and meeting spaces, maximising opportunities to deliver profitable results.
Radisson Blu Sohar, the property Galoisy is moving to, is expected to open in mid-2015.
