At Alila Jabal Akhdar, Gonzalez will follow the farm to table concept of featuring seasonal products from local farmers, fishermen, and bee-keepers, which ties in with the hotel’s practices of sustainable tourism and promoting community development.

“Like Alila Hotels & Resorts, I have a high respect for the Omani culture and I like to ensure that our guests experience everything this stunning area has to offer,” Gonzalez explained.

Alila Jabal Akhdar general manager Jork Bosselaar commented: “We look forward to incorporating Rick’s innovative ideas into our menu and further encouraging the use of local produce from the neighbouring communities.

"We have come a long way since the opening in May and look forward to expanding the Alila Jabal Akhdar family with like-minded and spirited professionals.”
