Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa resort will mark South African Hertiage month throughout September to pay tribute to the country that inspired its concept.

September 24 is National Braai day, which recognises the South African tradition of Braii, an informal barbeque.

Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort will host three special Braii evenings in its traditional Boma, on September 19, 24 and 26 and traditional South African dishes will be served such as Boerewors, Oxtail Potjie, Lambb Bredi and Milk tart for desert.

Christoph Holpzafel, villas manager at Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort, said: “For those South Africans living in the UAE, the resort feels like home away from home, with each private thatched-villa designed to integrate seamlessly with the surroundings, and each with views over the Savannah.”

Additional promotions will celebrate the occasion such as the addition of a Braii to the list of Anantara’s signature Dining by Design options available on Sir Bani Yas Island.

Couples will be able to enjoy a romantic set-up for two in the Savannah, with a Braai cooked by their very own Chef for the evening.

Throughout the month, Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort is offering South African Nationals special offers on overnight stays.
