Hilton Worldwide is celebrating on two fronts in the Middle East, with its regional head topping the Hotelier Middle East Power 50 and the company also surpassing 100 hotels in the Middle East.

As revealed earlier this week, Hilton Worldwide Middle East and Africa president Rudi Jagersbacher once again came in at number one in the Power 50 list, becoming the first person to retain the ranking.

The company also had Mahmoud Mokhtar, vice president operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, come in 40th place in the rankings.

Hilton also this week celebrated its surpassing of 100 hotels either trading or under development in the Middle East by unveiling a giant chocolate cake at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah.

“This is a significant milestone for Hilton Worldwide in the Middle East and clearly underlines our commitment to be the leading hospitality company in the region,” said Jagersbacher.

The cake, in the shape of ‘100’, was made in the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah pastry kitchen by executive chef Bertrand Valegeas and his team.

Joining Jagersbacher at the celebration were the Hilton Worldwide regional team, general managers and team members.
