Kerzner International Holdings Limited and Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) and have unveiled plans for The Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences.

Located on the crescent of The Palm and next to the existing Atlantis, The Palm resort, it will aim to offer distinctive luxury and a sophisticated lifestyle experience, with infinite ocean views, accented with lush green spaces, and bold architecture. Kerzner is also promising to re-interpret the myth of Atlantis while unveiling “ground-breaking experiences”.

“The success of Atlantis, The Palm has continued to exceed our financial performance expectations year on year and the time is right to usher in the next phase of this iconic development,” said Kerzner International CEO Alan Leibman.

“The Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences will offer a new resort living experience, completely taking it to the next level, while adding an entirely new dynamic with our ultimate residences. Features of the new project will include:

- An approximate total investment of $1.4 billion in the resort expansion and amenities.

- Nearly 800 new guest rooms and lavish suites with spectacular architecture from Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) and interior design by GA Design.

- 250 luxury Residences, designed by Sybille de Margerie Design, providing exclusive doorstep access to restaurants and entertainment, as well as resort experiences with definitive signature service.

- The Royal Atlantis Resort will stand 46 storeys tall and feature ocean and Palm views, allowing guests to feel that they are literally floating between the sky and sea.

- Introduction of revolutionary play between fire and water.

- The Sky Pool, situated almost 90 metres above The Palm

- New, never before-seen marine experiences.
