PizzaExpress UAE's head chef scooped the ‘Best Pizzaiolo’ award at PizzaExpress’ annual global competition, during an awards ceremony held in London.
Anand Radia, managing director of PizzaExpress UAE said: "We’re really proud of chef Khan’s achievement and honoured to have such an outstanding Pizzaiolo on our team.”
He continued: "Chef Khan arrived back in Dubai yesterday, so we had a huge celebration at head office. We are proud to say we have the best PizzaExpress chef in the world."
More than 500 PizzaExpress restaurants from around the world participted in the competition which consists of three rounds.

The first round focuses primarily on creative pizzaiolo skills and includes submitting a short video showcasing culinary expertise. In the next round, Khan and 15 competitors were visited at their restaurants by two members of the judging panel to assess quality standards, product knowledge and presentation.
Only four international Pizzaiolos made it through to the final, which was held at the Queen Elizabeth in London, where they had to demonstrate creativity under pressure.
