A new mobile app, which allows hotel guests to connect with other guests in the same or nearby properties, has been released.

According to the creators of Hellotel, the app lets users “check in” to their hotel and then interact with fellow travellers in a specific area.

Users can also post photos and status updates, with other guests able to reply, and by setting status to ‘Business’, can use the app for networking.

“HelloTel App is a new, revolutionary way for hotel guests to interact with one another all before even meeting in person,” said Hellotel App CEO and founder Marc Preston.

“We wanted to not only connect like-minded leisure & business travelers but to also bring large groups of people together who already share a common interest in travel.”

The app is already available for Apple devices and will next month launch onto the Android operating system too.

Hellotel’s developers have said that hotels can connect with their guests via the app’s backend by providing the amenities they offer through the app, such as room service, booking a show, VIP services, restaurant reservations and much more. Hotels should contact hotels@hellotelapp.com for more information.
