Rotana is to put budget hotels, under its Centro Hotels brand, at the heart of its expansion plans in Saudi Arabia over the coming years.
The Abu Dhabi-based operator is preparing to open six properties in the kingdom, four of which – in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar and Dammam – will be under the Centro Hotels by Rotana brand, which it describes as a “lifestyle affordable brand”.
"Rotana will work to promote the concept of economy hotels, a relatively new concept in the kingdom and which will offer guests a wonderful stay experience at convenient prices while still providing them with the highest standards of hospitality,” said Rotana Hotel Management CEO Omer Kaddouri.
"Rotana's expansion plans will add a significant number of new hotel rooms to the Kingdom's hospitality sector before the end of 2017 and will provide more than 1500 jobs for Saudi youth in the hospitality sector, this affirms Rotana's commitment to training Saudi cadres to enable them to join the this thriving sector and enjoy a work environment that stimulates creativity, innovation and excellence."
In the first quarter of 2015, the operator will open Rosh Rayhann Hotel by Rotana in Riyadh, located in Olaya Street and in close proximity to a number of shopping centres and business districts.
