Extending the roll-out of technology already available at a number of its properties, Rotana will allow guests to check in online for stays at all its hotel by early next year.

Guests can already use the service for several hotels through rotana.com and the Rotana Mobile App, enabling them to collect their room key from a priority check-in desk exclusively reserved for online check-ins.

The Abu Dhabi-based operated has confirmed that this online check-in facility will be rolled out across all Rotana hotels through the end of this year and in early 2015.

Furthermore, it is also exploring the possibility of offering an enhanced service to Rotana Reward Members, allowing them to pick their room number and preferred floor.

“Today’s travellers are constantly connected but they have time constraints. They want information instantly and they value services that save time,” said Rotana president and CEO Omer Kaddouri.

The company claims that, since launching the Rotana Mobile App two years ago, it has posted a 20% increase in monthly mobile bookings, delivering a “significant return” on investment in developing the platform.
