PizzaExpress UAE has set a new world record for the highest pizza delivery, with a breakfast time order for Virgin Radio’s Kris Fade Show during the broadcast on the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa.
Breaking the previous high of 120 floors, the delivery of three pizzas at 8:10am on January 4, included a Margherita, Padana and American, all Romana style pizzas.
The radio show was celebrating the fifth anniversary of the record-breaking 829.8 metre structure.
Anand Radia, managing director of PizzaExpress UAE said: “We are, of course, very proud to have set a new world record for the highest pizza delivery, and it was truly humbling to hear it happen live on air this morning.”
He added: “Once again our team has risen to a challenge set to them. This is a total team effort – from our dedicated Pizzaiolos to our delivery guys – and this couldn’t have happened without them.”
