A third Hyatt Hotels Corporation-operated property has officially opened in Istanbul, with the Hyatt Regency brand returning to Turkey’s largest city.
The five-star Hyatt Regency Istanbul Ataköy features 284 guest rooms, including 30 suites with panoramic views of the city and the Marmara Sea. Rooms sizes range from 31 square meters to 230 square meters.
It joins Grand Hyatt Istanbul and Park Hyatt Istanbul Maçka Palas within the operator’s portfolio in the city, which is important as both a commercial and tourism hub.
“Hyatt Regency Istanbul Ataköy is an oasis within the high-end residential area of Istanbul, ideally situated for both business and leisure travellers within easy access to Istanbul Atatürk Airport and to the city’s dynamic center, Taksim Square,” said Stefan Radstrom, general manager of the new hotel.
“We look forward to welcoming guests to our hotel, designed to cultivate connections and offer memorable dining experiences, stimulating recreational facilities and inspirational meeting services.”

The hotel’s contemporary design is built around an ‘east meets west’ theme and each guest room offers complimentary internet access, 42-inch flat-panel wide screen HDTV, walk-in shower and a separate bathtub. Suites also all feature a separate kitchen, living room and dining area.
Hyatt is offering the its ‘hotel with a hotel’ concept, Regency Club, at the new property, with these rooms and suites having access to exclusive facilities and services, including personalised check-in and check-out, one-hour free use of the meeting facilities, as well as complimentary breakfast, drinks throughout the day and evening cocktails in the Regency Club Lounge on the 16th floor.
Meanwhile, F&B offerings include Mediterranean restaurant Brizo and the VUE lounge and bar on the 17th floor.
The hotel also features more than 37,500 square feet of flexible meeting and event facilities, including a 10,500-square-foot ballroom with capacity for 1,200 people for a standing reception and 864 people for a seated dinner.
There is also a separate residential style events area, The Residence, which has a veranda looking out onto the Marmara Sea.
Other facilities at the hotel include Levana Spa & Fitness, featuring personalised therapies and Hammam, an indoor pool, and an outdoor pool area.
