Tableware supplier Villeroy & Boch is the Bocuse d'Or competition tableware partner for the eleventh time in a row this year.

This year the official plates are from the Affinity collection, and the round plates, with a diameter of 31.5 cm introduced in 2013, give the chefs plenty of space to present their dishes.

As well as the current competition plates, this year will again see a limited edition Bocuse d’Or collector's plate, which has been decorated by artist and designer Alain Vavro. Ever since 1995 the French artist has been responsible for designing the décor, which is then approved by Bocuse himself.

This year the collector's item is an oval Affinity platter with  warm colours and a vertically arranged décor, and features a drawing of three chefs and delicate gold writing.

The final is set to take place in Lyon, France on January 27-28, 2015 with 24 chefs, after 18-month long preliminaries. They will be expected to create a fish and a meat course.
