In our area of expertise, we are seeing an ever increasing awareness of the need for value for money, effectiveness of organic products, and a strong retail pull. In terms of specific treatment trends we are seeing a significant demand for hammam treatments and a drive towards organic; and harm-free sun care poolside treatments, as consumers become ever more educated. We also expect that education and development of sustainable practices will be an up and coming agenda item.

What are the latest product launches from your company?

Fresh to Sarum’s targeted portfolio are two high-performing brands that have recently been launched in the Middle East. Retail brand, Mor, is based on modern apothecary. With striking packaging, the attractive collections are adorned with gold trimmings and are sure to be a retail hit in this region.

The latest wonder-brand to join Sarum’s portfolio is leading sun care brand, Coola. With a Farm to Face® philosophy, products contain 97% certified organic ingredients. Exclusive to Coola is the Coola poolside cart, complete with outdoor beach/poolside organic sun care treatments. We continue to develop the positioning of these brands in the market and we look forward to increasing awareness of them at the conference.

What news can we expect from your company in 2015?

Following on from an excellent 2014 which has seen us win a number of accolades and awards during the year of 2014, including Best Hotel Partner at the Middle East Hotel Awards, we are looking forward enormously to 2015 as we continue to grow our business.

There is no doubt that 2015 is going to be a very exciting year for Sarum. We have a number of new brands in the pipeline, which will help to consolidate our position as the leading organics supplier in the region. We are opening up a number of new markets including the Maldives, the Seychelles and Saudi Arabia. We are also looking to diversify our business with some new product lines that will complement our organic spa-focus.

We look forward to developing and enhancing our service offering to our business partners. We are delighted to have recently welcomed a number of new faces to Sarum, to augment the already strong team. Lastly, we look forward to the opening of our new head office and in-house training centre, situated in close proximity drive to Dubai Mall.

The Hotelier Middle East Spa & Wellness Summit will take place at Grosvenor House on March 10 and is expected to attract more than 150 spa and wellness professionals from around the Middle East.
