Lamb

Rhug Organic award-winning lambs are born, bred, and reared at Lord Newborough’s main farm in the Dee Valley, North Wales. The farm, rising from 500 to 1500 feet, is ideally situated to grow lush grass, and the pastures are sown with a selection of herbs and grasses. The lowland and highland flock are all North Country mules.

Rhug Organic Salt Marsh Lamb comes from Lord Newborough’s coastal farm near Caernarfon. The fields are washed by the sea in the winter and therefore grow special grasses and herbs such as sea lavender, samphire, sorrel, thrift, and other salt marsh grasses.

This unique environment imparts the lamb with its distinctive and very special, sweet, light flavour. The lamb has PGI status (protected geographical indication) and is noted as some of the best lamb in the world.

Chicken

UKR’s manufacturing arms have been established for almost 15 years, with a name for quality, purity, and efficiency. Barnbrook Organic Farm Chicken is UKR’s premium grade ‘A’ frozen produce without the premium price tag, surpassing stringent EU safety and welfare standards.

A large number of companies take shortcuts at the expense of quality, however, UKR’s organic chicken is non-GMO, halal, ‘A’ grade chicken with a moisture content of under 5% — this means there is no added water.
