Manitowoc Foodservice has launched its KitchenCare service in the GCC, which helps its customers protect, service, and maintain foodservice equipment throughout the business lifecycle.

Manitowoc vice president marketing EMEA Graham Veal said: “It stands for faster availability in that we have a warehouse in Jeffersonville, USA, which is shipping parts for all of our brands. Last year, our spare parts customers or distributors would buy spare parts from different parts of the Manitowoc group; now you get all those parts in one place. Warranty support is the same.

“Now technical support is managed within the region from our office in Jebel Ali. Last year we announced the opening of our office in Jebel Ali, this year we’re announcing the consolidated service – single point of contact for these brands.”

Manitowoc vice president of service Colin Lacey explained further: “KitchenCare is a new brand within the Manitowoc Foodservice portfolio that’s really designed to bring all of our after sales support for all of our brands under one roof. We have a number of different product lines and in the past all of them have been largely autonomous – own warranty systems, spare part supplies. Kitchen Care brings all of that together in one consolidated and consistent package.”

He added: “It gives our partners access to everything – one shipment, one freight cost, one customs clearance and so on. It makes life easier for them plus the focus is on spare parts support rather than a factory. We are expecting to have much better parts inventory available now.”
