El Faro. El Faro.

Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha has opened three new restaurants, offering Spanish and Levant cuisine.

Sawa is the hotel’s family friendly restaurant and serves a blend of Europeran and Mediterranean flavours. El Faro, meaning ‘the lighthouse’ in Spanish is meant to be the only authentic Spanish restaurant in Doha, and features a tapas corner as well as an outdoor terrace.

Chef de cuisine Raùl Cob from Andalucía prepares traditional recipes, including authentic tapas, pintxos, and original paella.

Al Sufra, which means ‘the dining room’ in Arabic, blends cuisine from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine. Keeping with the levant theme of the cuisine, the restaurant’s design features numerous patterns and water features.

Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha general manager Wissam Suleiman said: “During the design phase of our restaurants, we wanted them to be truly special; concepts and food unseen in Doha. Our hotel is a rapidly becoming destination for food lovers, no matter what their taste is.

“The feedback to date has been overwhelmingly positive, not only for the cuisine, but also for the service, the art displays and the interior design. Yet, our work is not over; with a few more restaurants and lounges due to open during the coming months.”

In addition to El Faro, Sawa and Al Sufra, three further restaurants will open soon, including Toro Toro, Antica Pesa and Nozomi.
