Inspired by luxury brasseries of Paris, La Résidence Restaurant & Lounge is the creation of Michelin-starred chef Frédéric Vardon, whose work will be seen in Dubai for the first time when the venue opens on April 30.

Located at the Raffles Dubai, the standalone restaurant - which has a separate entrance - will feature classic French recipes, with dishes respecting the produce seasonality of France.

"The occasion to cook in Dubai is an opportunity in which I take immense pleasure. Indeed, this city is amazing and the beauty is all around. My loyal staff and I will do our best to offer gourmet French cuisine, which is both generous and sincere and we will stay close to our culinary heritage with great attention to product quality," said Vardon.

“After several trips to Dubai I have great admiration for local restaurateurs and our ambition is to supplement what is already on the market and satisfy the expectations of local food lovers."

The menu will feature traditional dishes selected from all over France. These include starters such as Landes duck fois gras, Burgundy snails and ‘Parisienne’ style king crab, as well as main dishes including farm fillet of veal, beef tartare and duck with turnips. An abundance of seafood will also be available including a selection of fresh oysters, sea bass, john dory and casier thermidor’s blue lobster.
