Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has launched a new CSR campaign called Dollars for Deeds, where each resort in Thailand will match guests’ donations dollar for dollar during their stay.
Guests who stay at any of Anantara’s 12 resorts in Thailand will have the option to donate US $1 (BHT30) per night of their stay, with Anantara matching the contribution from each guest.
Funds will be donated to three foundations - the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) in Chiang Rai, the Mai Khao Turtle Foundation in Phuket, and the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok.
The GTAEF was set up in 2006 to rescue Thailand’s street elephants, and has since been diversified to include welfare projects.

Marine Turtle Foundation raises funds and awareness for the critically endangered giant leatherback turtles which nest on Mai Khao Beach, along Phuket’s serene northwest coast.
The Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center is located in Chulalongkorn Hospital under the Thai Red Cross Society and the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, is the first center for craniofacial problems and operations in Southeast Asia.
The programme will soon be rolled out at Anantara properties across the world, including hotels in Asia, the Maldives, the Middle East, and Africa.
As part of its CSR programme, all Anantara properties partipate in eco-friendly and community initiatives.
