Arjaan by Rotana, Dubai participated in the Sameness Project – Water for Workers, which brought together the hotel's colleagues and friends to distribute water to labourers in Dubai.
Water for Workers works by identifying individuals working in gardens or construction sites and handing them water.
Volunteers are also encouraged to engage in conversation with the works to understand their struggles.
Arjaan by Rotana, Dubai general manager Mark McCarthy explained: “It is a great way to volunteer your weekend, as early as 9.30am friends and colleagues of Arjaan gathered at the meeting point where they registered, selected a location and picked up the boxes of mineral water.
“A person is allocated two boxes of mineral water and after a short while groups are busy loading the mineral water into their cars and off they went” he added.
Reservations manager Djamel Guermit commented: “This is initiative by Sameness Project is really wonderful and amazing, it gives you the opportunity to go out there and get to know these men that works hard to build this city and keeping it beautiful.”
