Alila Jabal Akhdar has appointed Daniel Johnson as the head chef. He brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role, and was most recently working with Jumeirah Dhevanafushi, Maldives, as the executive chef.
Commenting on his appointment, Johnson said: “The harmonious diversity of culture and cuisine experienced in the Jabal Akhdar region makes for a fascinating food scene. I will be adding new ideas to the menu with the seasonal produce and incorporating the traditional Omani cooking methods.
"We now have the ability to create a holistic journey through our cuisine, Spa Alila and the Alila Experiences to mirror the seasons of the Jabal Akhdar region,” adds Johnson.
