AccorHotels opened the 88-key Suite Novotel Riyadh Dyar, the French operator’s 15th property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this week.

The property has 88 suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and is located in the city centre.

The launch also marks its fifth Riyadh property and takes the number of rooms it has in the Saudi capital up to almost 2000, with more than 12,500 across the Kingdom.

Commenting on the opening, Christophe Landais, chief operating officer of AccorHotels Middle East, said: “This successful opening underscores the strong opportunity for hospitality in Saudi Arabia, especially in the midscale range which continues to be undersupplied.

“Our second Suite Novotel in Riyadh – following Suite Novotel Riyadh Olaya – also serves to demonstrate our commitment to this important, fast-growing market.

“In Riyadh, we now have five operational hotels and five more in development. This brings us close to 2000 rooms in Riyadh alone and more than 12500 across the Kingdom in total.”

The group has an additional 28 hotels in development across the Kingdom, which puts its total number of properties in Saudi Arabia, in operation and under development, at 43.

Located next to Al Anoud Tower, Al Akaria Shopping Mall, Faisaliah Tower and Kingdom Tower, the Suite Novotel Riyadh Dyar is within walking distance of the Olaya business and shopping district.

The hotel offers access to Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre, nearby commercial areas, diplomatic headquarters and government offices.

The Suite Novotel Riyadh Dyar’s business centre has meeting rooms with modern technology that can accommodate up to 60 people.

Leisure facilities include a fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, kids play room, pool and tennis tables.

Regional cuisine is served for breakfast and dinner at The Dunes restaurant and Café Gourmand is an all-day coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating.

AccorHotels currently operates 71 hotels in the Middle East, encompassing more than 17,300 rooms across the luxury to economy segments.

The Group has another 42 hotels under development in the region, bringing its total number of properties in operation and under development to 113.
