Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has appointed Alison Taylor as senior vice president of Starwood’s Sales Organisation.
The 25-year Starwood veteran replaces Christie Hicks, who retired in March 2015.
In her new role, Taylor will lead Starwood’s business-to-business sales strategy and direct the group’s 5000 string sales team around the world.
Prior to her promotion, Taylor led the Starwood Sales Organisation in Asia Pacific. She also successful led Starwood’s digital marketing and revenue management functions to drive business into the company’s hotels.
Taylor joined ITT Sheraton 27 years ago, and has worked in six countries across Asia-Pacific and spent two years working for Le Meridien in Indonesia.
Commenting on her appointment, Taylor said: “I am thrilled to take on this new opportunity and will leverage my broad experience and deep connections with customers and within Starwood to grow our groups and meetings business and enhance our corporate, leisure and group segmentation strategies."
