Al Habtoor City, which will open its doors to the public later this year, has confirmed to Hotelier Middle East that it is set to recruit 3000+ employees.

An Al Habtoor Group spokesperson said: “Al Habtoor City will employee in excess of 3000 direct employees. This number is on the conservative side.

“In addition to this, there will be many more third party contractors (security, valet, etc.), and many more indirect staff employed by tenants of the outlets, and more than 150 by Dragone.”

Al Habtoor City also employs approximately 5000 construction workers, and once complete there will be multiple other jobs available in the restaurants along the marina and boulevard, as well as contractors for security and valet roles.

“There will be about thousands of staff in Al Habtoor City. It will be buzzing with activity. The jobs will include everything from reception staff to general managers. In addition there will be aquatic coaches and various artists. There is a diverse mix of opportunities,” Al Habtoor Group chairman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor said.

“Because of the nature of the varied roles, we will be hiring locally and internationally to ensure we get the best people for the job. We are anticipating at least 125 different nationalities working at Al Habtoor City. There will be a big focus on GCC nationals – including Emiratis to fulfil our Emiratisation program and ensure locals play an active role in our economy,” he added.
