Villas on Sweden Island, a part of the Heart of Europe development, which makes up part of Dubai's The World Islands project, will be delivered by early 2017.
The Heart of Europe is a cluster of six European themed islands on The World, 4km off the coast of Dubai, featuring destinations based on the best of European design and influences from prominent European architecture and culture.
Heart of Europe is made up of 300 islands reclaimed from the sea in the shape of the world map, comprising private and resort islands, featuring holiday and hospitality options.
Excavation work has commenced on the project, reports Hotelier Middle East sister title Construction Week, and concrete work on the island for the $15m villa project is to begin soon.
The first villa will be fitted out and furnished during the first quarter of 2016.
The remaining nine Sweden Villas will be completed by 31 December, 2016, in time to co-incide with New Years' Eve at the time.
The Heart of Europe has signed a contractual agreement with Bentley Home to furnish the Sweden Island beachfront residences.
