Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham has joined Emirates Red Crescent’s campaign ‘Yemen: We Care’. The movement aims to provide assistance to the Yemenis affected by the current conflict in the country.
Themed “Don’t Delay, Give Today”, the hotel has placed donation boxes at its reception and all-day dining restaurant, encouraging guests and staff to contribute towards the cause. Also, the hotel aims to tap the power of social media, in a bid to get more people involved. The money collected will be handed over to Emirates Red Crescent at the end of September.
“We would like to extend support to our fellow brothers in Yemen, who have been caught up in an unfortunate humanitarian crisis. Help in any measure will go a long way in providing them with food and medical supplies during these trying times, and we are keen to do our part through this fundraising effort,” said Wael El Behi, general manager, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham.
Emirates Red Crescent recently launched the month-long ‘Yemen: We Care’ campaign to aid the 10 million people who are affected by the crisis thorough various relief efforts, projects and programmes which can help them ease their suffering and rebuild their lives.
