Centro Capital Centre Abu Dhabi conducted the Housekeeping Olympics - a competition which included various disciplines related to the art of hospitality.
The hotel believes that running such competitions helps enhance skills and competencies of the staff, and encourages the talented ones to progress into senior management roles.
The participants competed in several disciplines including bed making, mop race, vacuum race and buffer pad toss race. They were judged against their skills, accuracy and speed of execution.
Special scoring sheets were developed in accordance with the hotel’s guidelines to demonstrate fair play and integrity along with the presence of judges and experts in the field.
After the first stage, 10 top-performing contestants in each discipline qualified for the finals and the top three received awards.
