“It’s magnificent to see all Rotana colleagues walking together in the fight against diabetes. Despite the heat, all the participants were motivated and proud to walk for such a noble cause,” said Greg Allan, area vice president of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Rotana Hotels.

“We are glad to have among us members of the Abu Dhabi Centre for special needs and we thank them for coming along with us. It is a lovely morning where everyone had the opportunity to learn about diabetes while enjoying a pool of activities and succulent healthy dishes prepared by our chefs”, added Allan.

Dr. Aref Al Shehhi, deputy CEO at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City said: “Improved awareness and outcomes are not delivered by healthcare providers alone. Communities and the public are what we like to call co-producers of health, and they play a critical role in identifying their own needs and preferences.”
