Meraas will introduce a new hotel management arm, operating under the umbrella of Meraas Hospitality group.

The new Meraas Hotels & Resorts will operate and manage several different hotel brands under this banner.

Meraas have declared that this new move into hotel management is part of its aim to contribute to the ‘Dubai Tourism Vision 2020’, which envisages a hefty influx of tourists to the emirate ahead of Expo 2020.

The target is to attract a total of 20 million visitors to Dubai by 2020. Dubai is currently estimated to have received 7.2 million international tourists in the first half of 2015.

Meraas group chairman His Excellency Abdulla Al Habbai said: “In establishing Meraas Hotels & Resorts, we aim to capitalise on our strong portfolio of projects and the positive market trends projected for the tourism sector to establish new benchmarks in the hospitality industry.”
