Greek airline Aegean and Starwood Hotels have entered in a partnership, bringing a selection of exclusive benefits to their loyalty programmes – Miles+Bonus and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG).

SPG members can now convert their Starpoints into Aegean Miles+Bonus award miles. In addition, SPG members will be given an extra 5,000 miles for every 20,000 Starpoints converted to Aegean Miles+Bonus award miles.

“We are very pleased to announce to our members our partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, that will offer new rewards through our loyalty programmes, Aegean Miles+Bonus and Starwood Preferred Guest. This partnership will provide additional benefits to our shared customers and enhance the value of both programmes,” said Dimitris Gerogiannis, chief executive officer of Aegean.

With 11 properties in Greece under the luxury banner - Westin and Sheraton brands - Starwood has the largest presence in the market for an international hotel group. Aegean is Starwood’s first partner airline in Greece, and is the largest Greek airline, expected to expand to 149 destinations in 45 countries in 2016.

The process has also been kept very simple to earn award miles when staying at Starwood Hotels & Resorts; Aegean Miles+Bonus members need to simply sign up online to the SPG loyalty programme.
