Berlin-based company Foodora has now launched its app for the Dubai market.

The concept promises ‘quality’ food, available for home-delivery via an app ordering service.

So far, Foodora has 150 outlets across the emirate signed up to the app. Among them are Clinton Street Bakery, Pantry Cafe, Shakespeare & Co, Accents by Intercontinental, Peacock by Sheraton and Ping Pong.

Foodora Middle East vice president Alexander Kappes said: “The decision to launch in Dubai was an obvious one. The combination of the city’s iconic restaurants and the population’s high expectation towards convenience and quality make it the perfect city for foodora’s first venture in the Middle East.

"Our full service solution allows restaurants to focus on one thing: cooking. We take the meal and bring it to the customer.”

Foodora states that one of the brands USPs is the use of ‘intelligent’ delivery software, which allows the company to track traffic-dense areas, thus allowing for optimum delivery speeds. Foodora currently estimates average delivery time to all areas at 35 minutes.
