With a vision to welcome 850,000 visitors in 2016, Ras Al Khaimah’s Tourism Development Authority’s CEO visits London to promote the emirate to key industry professionals.

Haitham Mattar, the Tourism Development Authority’s CEO, visited London in December to promote the emirate as a tourist destination to key industry professionals.

In support of RAK's vision to welcome 850,000 visitors in 2016, Mattar took part in media interviews, meetings and events, promoting the Emirate to key industry professionals.

Mattar shared the region’s latest developments and strategic plans for the years to come with UK tourism partners and target media outlets.

Ras Al Khaimah has positioned itself as a world-class destination of choice for authentic Arabian culture and experiences, achieving growth and diversification across its tourism sectors.

The emirate has gained recognition as the fastest emerging emirate within the UAE for tourism arrivals.

Mattar discussed the TDA’s strategic plans for expansion, sealing cooperation agreements with UK leading tour operators and travel agents.

The emirate’s latest developments were also presented to the UK audience by Mattar through a series of interviews with broadcasters and media titles.

Key news focussed on new hotel openings, the launch of Qatar Airways’ flights to RAK international airport and the Golf European Challenge Tour, to be hosted in Ras Al Khaimah in October 2016.

Additionally, 30 journalists and bloggers from leading UK publications and online titles were invited to two exclusive events in central London to discover more about Ras Al Khaimah’s diverse natural assets.
