As many as 250 Hyatt operated properties worldwide were affected by a malware breach at the hotel group late last year. 

According to Hyatt, the issue affected the majority of properties from August 13 2015 until December 8 2015, with a few affected from as early as July 30 2015.

Hyatt has provided a list of all sites globally that were affected by the malware issue. It lists properties, as well as dates on which the hotel is thought to have been infected by the malware.

In the UAE alone, Hyatt lists eight affected properties (two in Abu Dhabi and six in Dubai).

These properties are: Hyatt Capital Gate, Abu Dhabi; Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas; Grand Hyatt Dubai; Hyatt Place Dubai, Al Rigga; Hyatt Place Dubai, Baniyas Square; Hyatt Regency Dubai; Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights and Park Hyatt Dubai. 

Hyatt has advised its customers to review card statements, and report any unauthorised behaviour immediately.

According to blog Krebs on Security by security expert Brian Krebs; other hotel groups affected by payment data breeches last year include Hilton, Starwood, Mandarin Oriental, the Trump Collection hotels and White Lodging.
