Hilton Hotels & Resorts has debuted in Chad with Hilton N'Djamena, taking Hilton Worldwide's overall presence to 100 countries and territories.

The 194-room property, offering direct views of Chari River, is located in the new and upmarket district of Sabangali in N'Djamena.

The latest addition, which will participate in the Hilton HHonors loyalty programme, joins Hilton Worldwide's growing portfolio of 37 hotels in Africa.

Hilton Worldwide global head, full service brands Rob Palleschi said: "Hilton Hotels & Resorts has had a presence in Africa for more than 50 years and Hilton N'Djamena is a magnificent achievement that showcases how far the brand has come in its commitment to this market.

"Located in the heart of the country, Hilton N'Djamena, with its striking river views and relaxing environment, marks an exciting addition to the Hilton portfolio."

The hotel is located near tourist attractions such as the National Museum, which houses N'Djamena's oldest artifacts; Grand Marche (Central Market) for a local shopping experience; and Avenue Charles de Gaulle with its European-style colonial houses.

The contemporary property, which includes 11 suites, provides guests with resort-style facilities also convenient for those travelling for business.

The property's dining options include the poolside Acqua Bar and Grill, to the Axis Bar and Lounge. L'atelier, located in the lobby. La Distillerie offers a wide selection of whiskey and cocktails, while Merkato offers all-day dining facing the Chari River.

Catering to corporate events or banquets with eight flexible meeting and event spaces, the hotel also has a ballroom that caters for up to 500 people. The hotel offers a fully equipped business centre.
