A Memorandum of Understanding with the College of Tourism & Hotel Management and Ramada Ajman has been signed to create internship and job opportunities.

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman signed a deal with College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), in Pakistan to provide hospitality career opportunities for undergraduate students of the institution.

The collaboration will provide on-the-job training to the students intended to develop their skills leading towards a career in the hospitality sector.

The agreement was signed by Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman general manager Iftikhar Hamdani and COTHM Pakistan chief executive officer Ahmad Shafiq.

Hamdani commented: “Our team are all delighted to welcome the first batch of apprentice from COTHM Pakistan and we aim to develop their skills, instil professional values, and provide guidance in their chosen career paths so they can land their dream hospitality jobs in the future.”

The first batch of undergraduates, who are taking up Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Tourism, and Culinary Arts courses, are expected to start their internship in 2016.

COTHM has trained over 10,000 professionals and are currently training over 5,000 people in various areas of the hospitality industry.
