Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is set to launch its lifestyle select brand in Jeddah with the Radisson Red Makarunah, as well as the mid-scale Park Inn by Radisson Madinah Road.

The Radisson Red Makarunah will have 280 units, and is scheduled to open in Q2 2018. The Park Inn by Radisson Madinah Road will be a 84-room property and will be the first operational Park Inn in Jeddah when it welcomes guests in Q1 2017.

The Radisson Red Makarunah will be located close to lifestyle and entertainment areas in Jeddah such as Tahlia Street, Corniche Road, Mall of Arabia and Red Sea Mall. The international airport will be 11km away. Besides 230 rooms, the hotel will comprise the restaurant Ktchn + Ouibar, a further speciality restaurant and a pool bar, 315m2 of meeting facilities, a gym and a pool.

The brand's global portfolio features 11 hotels under development, and the very first hotel will make its debut in April 2016 in Brussels, Belgium. “The roll-out of Red is in full swing, and the brand is set for further development in urban locations. We aim to have 60 hotels worldwide by the year 2020," added Younes.

The Park Inn by Radisson Madinah Road will offer 84 guest rooms, an all-day-dining restaurant, a lobby lounge, 170m2 of meeting space, and a gym. The brand was recently relaunched as a mid-scale offer for the growing guest segment of Gen X and Y.
