Abu Dhabi-based group Danat Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to focus on the leisure and German markets during 2016.

Germany represents the largest market for the hotel group, followed by British, Chinese and GCC visitors. Following the recent drop in Russian tourists, the hotel group has also revealed it will be focusing on potential new markets such as Scandinavia, Japan, Brazil, Italy and USA.

Danat Hotels & Resorts group marketing manager Rima Rawass commented: “We are looking forward to better performance for the Russian market due to the block in Turkey and Egypt. Russians are considering other destinations for their upcoming holidays and the UAE is one of the primary countries that they want to visit.

“The Russians, Germans and British tourists love to spend their holidays and enjoy the beaches and the sun of the UAE. Most of our hotels are located on the beach apart from those located in the desert so we are optimistic to get a good share of this market this year.”

For Danat Hotels & Resorts, the German marketing campaign will include participating in Germany’s biggest travel market, ITB in Berlin (taking place from March 9-13 2016).

The German campaign will include what the hotel group itself called “aggressive marketing activities” in a recent statement, including marketing in leading German magazines, and offering promotions to German tour operators.

Danat Hotels & Resorts includes the following properties in the UAE: Danat Al Ain Resort, Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort, Al Raha Beach Hotel, Tilal Liwa Hotel, Danat Residence, Oryx Hotel, Century Hotel Apartments, Dhafra Beach Hotel and Green Mubazzarah Chalets.
