Movenpick Hotels & Resorts’s CEO is expected to step down from his current role by the end of 2016.

According to a report by ETN, Movenpick has already begun the search for a new CEO, supported by Egon Zehnder Executive Search.

Movenpick is expected to announce the new CEO later this year, and Peres will remain in his current role until the next CEO has been selected by Movenpick’s board of directors.

The news comes following a record year reported by Movenpick in 2015.

During his time as CEO, Peres is credited with expanding the Swiss brand beyond Europe, with new hubs in the Middle East, as well as entry into Africa and Asia.

Tasks for the new Movenpick CEO will including driving value accretive initiatives, commercial development, delivery of further system integration, enhanced distribution and active yield management.
