According to Dubai based design firm ZAS Architects, the company’s next big project is a five star hotel in Dubai with a rainforest and artificial beach.
The news, which reached international channels AOL and MSN this week, was reported by Hotelier Middle East and sister title Arabian Business in October 2015.
The new Rosemont Hotel & Residences will be operated by Hilton Worldwide and will be Hilton's first UAE hotel under the 'Curio – A Collection by Hilton' brand.
According to a report on the project by Sky Rise Cities, the Rosemont Hotel & Residence is expected to cost $300 million (AED1,102 million) to build.
The hotel will consist of two 47 storey towers, plus a five storey podium. The first tower will be dedicated to 280 serviced apartments. The second tower will contain 450 luxury hotel rooms by Curio.
The rooftop of this podium will feature a 7,000 square meter recreation area that links the two towers together. Here, the developers plan to create an artificial beach, as well as rainforest-inspired landscaping.
The new Rosemont Hotel & Residence will be located next to Sheikh Zayed Road (at the intersection with Abdullah Omran Maryam Street).
Amenities on offer for both towers will include two ‘sky lobbies’ and a ‘sky pool’, described as ‘suspended mid-air’. Other amenities will include retail, a spa, a health club, and meeting rooms.
The project is currently under construction, and expected to open in June 2018.
