The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul has revealed that more than 35% of guests at the property come from the GCC market.

In a recent statement by the hotel, general manager Can Goktas stated that in the next season the hotel will focus on family and business travellers from the GCC. The hotel will look in particular to the UAE market by developing travel partnerships in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The hotel will attend Arabian Travel Market, held in Dubai from April 25-28. The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul also plans a promotional tour of the Gulf region, taking place over two month, and including visits to Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait and Doha.

One of the hotel’s key partners is Turkish Airlines, which will be increasing its weekly flights between Istanbul and Abu Dhbai to 11, by June 2016.

Commenting on the news, Can Goktas said: “Our first class services and continued experience in the hospitality industry make us the ideal location for weddings and other business events for our guests from the GCC region.

“The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul will introduce a sales representative in Abu Dhabi shortly, to promote our services and upcoming offers considering how much we value the UAE market.

“Istanbul has not been affected by tension in ties between Turkey and Russia. We see a significant increase in guests from Egypt which is promising since it is an important market for us.” he said.
