He added: "I admire their humanitarian spirit and I hope that other hotels will do the same in their area. Our collaborative efforts will help thousands of families out there. With more than 550 hotels and 140,000 team members (across Hilton hotels) through all over the globe we hope this project will pick up the initiative and we will reach incredible results in the end.”
The hotel won the Blue Energy Award in 2015 (part of Hilton's recognition awards) for being the most proactive among all Hilton hotels on the globe. The Blue Energy committee focuses on the team’s commitment to development and delivering of guest relations initiatives, team member relations, community relations and living sustainably.
The Blue Energy Awards are granted to one hotel in each category across the region and aims to recognise the success of the group’s hotels as they introduce new initiatives at individual properties.
