Dunes Hotel Apartments confirms it is in talks to expand in Dubai, seeking to operate new properties on a management basis.

Increasing demand for mid-market hospitality in Dubai led Dunes Hotel Apartments to seek new properties to rebrand under the Dunes name, said Dunes Hotel Apartments general manager Faisal Abdul Rahman in an interview with Hotelier Express.

“At present we are looking for new properties on a management basis, no dates have been released yet, but hopefully in 2016 we will launch our next property,” said Rahman.

Rahman said the decision was influenced by the progress made by Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in promoting and attracting new guests to mid-market in the emirate.

“The quality of attractions will be here [in Dubai] thanks to DTCM, and I believe the quality of accommodation should match,” Rahman added.

Rahman said he believes mid-market source markets seeking to visit Dubai in the near future will see significant growth from India and China.

Dunes Hotel Apartments has no hotel construction planned as yet, though Rahman acknowledged the company is looking to capitalise on the economy and mid-market growth in the emirate.
