Hilton Worldwide has revealed plans to open a second Waldorf Astoria hotel in Dubai. The new hotel will be located in DIFC, on Al Saada Street.
The management agreement for the new Waldorf Astoria DIFC was signed today between Hilton Worldwide and Ward Holdings.
It will be the third Waldorf Astoria property in the UAE, following the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, and Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.
The new Waldorf Astoria DIFC is currently expected to open in autumn 2017. It will join a portfolio of 25 Waldorf Astoria properties operating worldwide, including hotels in New York, Amsterdam and Beijing.
The new hotel will be a 247 room property, and feature mixed use residential, retail and office space. Other facilities at the new Waldorf Astoria DIFC will include F&B, spa and wellness facilities, as well as a grand ballroom and an additional four meeting rooms.
Commenting on the new signing, Carlos Khneisser, Hilton Worldwide vice president of development, Middle East and North Africa said: “I have long admired the role DIFC plays in the world of international investment, benefitting from its east meets west location and world-class trading framework.
"As an iconic luxury brand originating from New York, another centre of global finance, I am delighted that we will welcome Waldorf Astoria to this international hub.”
