If they manage this, everyone is treated to free breakfast goodies. If they don’t, a nominated 'monitor' within the group, who is responsible for spotting if anyone looks at their phone, gets the prize.

Köşebaşı regional brand manager Roy Ghattas said: “Köşebaşı is a family-friendly dining experience, with tradition and a sense of home at its heart.

"With the 'Friends over Phones' campaign, we are encouraging our guests to live in the now, and enjoy the company of each other, with the added incentive of prizes at the end.”

Serving Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, Köşebaşı presents regional delicacies from Anatolia, and has various outposts across the Middle East.

Köşebaşı Arabia is operated by the Azadea Group, which owns and operates more than 55 international franchise concepts across the Middle East and Africa.
