Viceroy has announced that the doors to its new resort in Istanbul will open in the summer of 2016.

The Viceroy Princes' Islands Istanbul will have 77 rooms, suites and serviced residences, a traditional and restored Ottoman grand mansion and a ‘Yali’ seafront mansion, the resort will also have gardens and a private cove.

The resort will feature an ESPA spa and wellness centre, with indoor pool and a modern take on the Turkish bath house.

A 1,340 m2 indoor and outdoor event space will be present, along with a ballroom and an outdoor terrace, rooftop terraces and gardens.

On the F&B front the Viceroy Princes' Islands Istanbul will feature two restaurants, an ice bar, and a resort club bar.

Viceroy has fully restored the resort’s 1,926 m2 registered cultural heritage grand mansion.

Viceroy CEO Bill Walshe said: “Viceroy Hotel Group is thrilled to enter Turkey with this project. The rich history of Büyükada gives Viceroy Princes' Islands Istanbul a sense of place through its blend of antiquity, modernity, tradition, and an infusion of the Viceroy vibe.”

Viceroy Princes’ Islands Istanbul has been developed by Akdag Tourism and Construction Ltd., a firm that has contributed to the development of Central Anatolia in particular through its investment in construction materials and plants, as well as educational and cultural institutions.
