Restonic has joined the Executive Housekeeper Forum, with its sales director Sameer Ahmed sharing his opinion on the state of the hospitality industry in the region.
Speaking to Hotelier Middle East, Ahmed commented: "The hospitality industry is going through a difficult period right now with cost cutting measures having an affect on the quality of hotel services.
"This begs a question as to whether the loyalty of a preferred supplier should continue if they have previously failed to deliver on the quality of product and service. One solution could be a fairer crack at the whip to all potential suppliers in an honest, ethical and open bidding process."
Nevertheless, according to Ahmed, the UAE hotel industry is growing exponentially and "the future looks good for the tourism and hotel occupancy".

He added: "With increased demands placed on suppliers like ourselves, healthy competition is always welcome. However, we do believe quality should never be compromised for the sake of a cheaper alternative. Unfortunately this is all too common nowadays and the sooner it’s corrected, the better."
Restonic, he said, has come on-board the Executive Housekeeper Forum as it is an "exciting opportunity to position the Restonic brand and meet housekeeping professionals from the leading hotels in the UAE".
